Ingredients
- 1 can Cento Organic Black Beans (15.5 oz), rinsed and drained
- 1 Large Egg
- 2 tbsp Lime Juice
- 1/3 cup Cento Panko Bread Crumbs
- Cento Fine Sicilian Sea Salt, to taste
- Cento Ground Black Pepper, to taste
- 3 Green Onions, finely sliced
- 2 cans Cento Albacore Tuna Fish in Extra Virgin Olive Oil (5 oz), drained
- 1 tbsp Cento Imported Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 4 Soft Rolls or Hamburger Buns
- 1 Ripe Avocado, sliced
- 1 Medium Tomato, thinly sliced
- 1 Small Red Onion, thinly sliced
- 4 Lettuce Leaves
- 1/2 tsp Cento Crushed Red Pepper
Directions
Place beans in a medium bowl and mash with a fork until a chunky paste forms. Add egg, red pepper flakes, lime juice, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and stir until mixed well. Stir in green onions, then add tuna and gently stir just until combined. Form mixture into 4 patties and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
Place oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add patties and cook about 3 minutes, or until golden brown. Flip and cook until other side is golden brown and patties are hot throughout, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and serve on rolls with avocado, tomato, onions and lettuce. Serves 4.
