Ingredients
- 2 lbs Ground Beef, turkey or chicken
- 1 can Cento Certified San Marzano Tomatoes (28 oz), hand crushed
- 1 can Cento Black Beans (19 oz), drained
- 2 Carrots, peeled and diced
- 2 ribs of Celery, peeled and diced
- 1 White Onion, diced
- 6 tbsp Cento Imported Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 can Cento All Purpose Chicken Broth (46 oz)
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Cayenne
- 1 Cento Bay Leaves
- 4 Peppercorns
- 1 sprig Fresh Thyme
- 1 tsp Marjoram Sprigs
- 1/2 cup Cento Sliced Jalapeno Peppers, chopped
- 1 tsp Cento Fine Sicilian Sea Salt
Directions
In a large stockpot, sauté ground meat until browned. Add vegetables and cook for 10 minutes, then add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer for 30 minutes. Serve with topping such as: crumbled taco chips, sour cream, scallions, shredded cheese, cooked rice, hot sauce, guacamole, refried beans, chilies or chopped tomatoes. Serves 3-4.
