Ingredients
- 1 can Cento Chick Peas (19 oz), drained and rinsed
- 1/2 tsp Bellino Minced Garlic
- 1 jar Cento Fancy Giardiniera (12 fl oz), drained with pepper stems removed, 2 tsp of liquid reserved
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- Cento Fine Sicilian Sea Salt, to taste
- 1/4 cup Cento Imported Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Cento Extra Hot Calabrese Peperoncino, to taste (optional)
- Cento Crushed Red Pepper, to taste
Directions
In a food processor, add chickpeas, garlic, giardiniera, giardiniera liquid, lemon juice, and salt; mix on low speed and slowly add olive oil. Process on high speed until the hummus has a smooth consistency. Transfer to serving bowl and top with peperoncino, if desired, and crushed red pepper flakes, to taste.
