Product Attribute Certification

PAC, or Product Attribute Certification, was created to verify traceability and sustainability standards and practices. Our mission is to certify the geographical connection of attributes to products, providing transparency and promoting consumer confidence.

Trace Register​​

Trace Register allows us to electronically connect lot data with products, certifying traceability standards. Consumers can trace their Cento Tuna cans back to the boat where their tuna was caught.

Certified by an independent E.U. approved US accepted third-party agency under UNI EN ISO 22005:20008 for supply chain and product traceability. ISO is an independent, non-governmental organization

The International Olive Council​

The International Olive Council is the world’s only international intergovernmental organization in the field of olive oil and table olives. The IOC seeks to promote the international trade in olive products, part of which it does by establishing and ensuring adherence to grading standards for those products.

North American Olive Oil Association

The NAOOA is a not-for-profit trade group of olive oil marketers in North America. Their mission is to promote the consumption of all types of olive oil by communicatingolive oil’s health benefits, flavors and culinary versatility.Their members are committed to meeting or exceeding the standards set by the International Olive Council (IOC). Representing more than two-thirds of the olive oil consumed in the USA and Canada.

Marine Stewardship Council​

Cento produces MSC Certified Sustainable Seafood, fully in compliance with the Marine Stewardship Council in their efforts to improve the health of the world’s oceans and create a sustainable seafood market through viable fishing practices. Our MSC labeled seafood products can be traced back to MSC certified sustainable wild-capture fisheries.

Whole Grains Council

Cento offers a variety of whole grain products, labeled by the Whole Grain Stamp as created by the Whole Grains Council, a nonprofit consumer advocacy group that works to increase consumption of whole grains for better health. These stamps clearly indicate how many grams of whole grains are in a product and help consumers identify products offering at least a half serving of whole grains.

Agri-Cert

Agri-Cert, an independent Italian third party organization, certifies that our San Marzano tomatoes follow the proper production method and ensures superior quality. Everything from the seeds to the methods of farming of our San Marzano tomatoes are done in compliance with Agri-Cert.

NSF International

NSF International is an organization dedicated to public health and safety. NSF developed public health standards and certification programs to protect the world’s food, water, consumer products and environment. Accredited by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and International Accreditation Service (IAS), the NSF International certification mark on a product demonstrates the product complies with all standard requirements regulated by agencies at the local, state, federal and international level. NSF International’s mission is to develop uniform, consensus-based national standards that bring together regulators, industry professionals, consumers and public health experts.

Forest Stewardship Council

Cento utilizes aseptic packaging with Forest Stewardship Council certified materials. The FSC Mix label on our packaging certifies that the materials used in our packaging are from acceptable sources that adhere to strict forest management guidelines, help protect forest ecosystems and reduce the impact of climate change. The completely recyclable and biodegradable packaging helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, conserves natural resources, saves landfill space, and protects wildlife.

Sustainable Forestry Initiative

Our vendor purchases of Containerboard used in the production of the Cartons and Displays are coordinated by the Roll Stock Purchaser/Scheduler. Weber Display and Packaging purchases fiber from paper suppliers that are SFI Certified.
