- 6 large Bell Peppers
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 2 tbsp Cento Imported Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Cento Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Cento Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Cento Italian Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Cento Fine Sicilian Sea Salt
- 1/4 tsp Cento Ground Black Pepper
- 1 1/2 cups Cento Marinara Pasta Sauce
- 1 1/2 cups Mozzarella Cheese
- 12 slices Pepperoni
- 1/4 cup Cento Sliced Pepperoncini
- 1/4 cup Cento Extra Large Pitted Black Olives, sliced
- Fresh Basil Leaves, for garnish
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir in the remaining marinara sauce and simmer for 3âu20acu201c4 minutes until slightly thickened. In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce evenly across the bottom. Arrange bell pepper halves cut-side up in the baking dish and drizzle with olive oil. Spoon beef mixture evenly into each pepper half. Top with shredded mozzarella, pepperoni slices, peperoncini, and olives. Bake for 10âu20acu201c12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil before serving. Serves 6.
